This privacy notice applies to all of the information collected and submitted on the 303 Rocketry website. On some pages, you can sign up for notifications / email lists, register for events, and purchase products. The types of information collected include:
We do not sell or giveaway information that we collect.
Parents – 303 Rocketry is concerned about the privacy of your children and does not knowingly collect information about children without parental supervision. We encourage you to actively monitor your child’s internet activities, including those on our website.
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our website. However, we do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that visitors’ accesses will be tracked, but the visitors themselves remain anonymous. You are not required to provide any identifying information in order to visit and use the information residing on our site.
Our online surveys and contact forms ask visitors for contact information (like their email address). This contact information is used only to identify and to contact the submitter when necessary. No mailing lists are assembled from this information, with the exception of forms or surveys which clearly state that the information provided will be used for the purposes of creating a mailing list and disseminating of information and updates as it relates to the activities of 303 Rocketry.
Online Shopping and Cookies
We make use of a commercial “shopping cart” software package, such as Square, for our online inventory and shopping offerings. This package makes use of browser cookies as a way of remembering the contents of your shopping cart while you are actively using the ordering software. This software and the cookies it sets are not under our control; and outside of the shopping cart software itself, these cookies are not examined or used elsewhere on our site, nor are their contents available to any other site.
Other browser cookies are used to collect aggregate data to provide for website performance metrics, to enable optimization of how fast the website loads, and to enhance user experiences. No personally identifiable information (PII) is linked to these browser cookies.
This site contains links to other websites. These external websites are not under the control of or administered by 303 Rocketry. 303 Rocketry is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these other websites.
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. 303rocketry.org uses a secure protocol to send data back and forth between a user’s web browser and the website / server itself (as indicated by the “https” prefix to the website address and or the "lock" symbol).
Children and COPPA
This website complies with COPPA rules as defined by the FTC.
Online information (such as an email directed to 303 Rocketry) will only be used by 303 Rocketry officials to respond directly to a child’s request. This includes signing up for notifications and email lists associated with receiving periodic 303 Rocketry activities, news, and events information. This type of online information will not be used for any other purposes. Other than for event registration, we do not collect personally identifiable offline contact information from children. Event registration requires the registree to be 13 years of age or older, or provide the contact information (name, email, and phone number) of the legal consenting parent / guardian. If under 13 years of age, a follow-up contact with the legal consenting parent / guardian will be made to verify consent of registration.
We do not distribute to third parties any personally identifiable information about children. Because we do not provide “bulletin boards,” “guestbooks,” or “chat rooms,” we do not allow children the ability to publicly post personally identifiable contact information.
We do not entice youngsters, by the prospect of a special game, prize or other activity, to divulge personally identifiable contact information.
Our contact forms allow visitors the opportunity to opt-out of receiving further communications beyond a response to the original request at the time of submittal.
